During the four-day long course, trainees will be equipped with information about the overview of ethnic minorities in Vietnam; the Party’s guidelines and policies on population and ethnic affairs; State laws and policies on socio-economic development in ethnic minority areas; building political systems at the grassroots level in ethnic minority areas; State management of the culture of ethnic minorities, among others.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Political Commissar of the Dak Lak provincial Border Guard Command Senior Colonel Pham Huu Chien underscored that the course aims to provide basic knowledge about the Party’s guideline and State’s law in ethnic affairs and policies in the current context. It also contributes to raising border troops’ awareness in these fields, so as to effectively implement the ethnic work strategy for the period of 2021–2030, with a vision towards 2045, and the national target program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority-inhabited and mountainous areas in the 2021–2030 period.
