Over the past three years, with pro-activeness and responsibility, military units have closely followed the objectives and tasks of Project 1371. They have closely worked with local authorities, mobilizing all available resources to successfully achieve the goals and tasks set for the first phase of the project.
Many effective law dissemination and education models and methods have been implemented in various units, promoting the role of the military in disseminating law to and encouraging local people to abide by the law. Thanks to that the awareness of the law among military personnel and the public has improved, especially in key areas, remote regions, ethnic minority communities, and mountainous areas. Violations of the law, social evils, illegal fishing, and migration issues have decreased in many localities.

These results have contributed to creating favorable conditions for economic, socio-cultural development, hunger elimination and poverty reduction, and new-style rural development and strengthening the relationship between the military and the people.
At the conference, reports focused on analyzing and highlighting the achievements, pointing out the shortcomings and causes, and proposing solutions to improve the implementation of Project 1371 in the second phase.
Concluding the conference, General Luong asked the Steering Committee of Project 1371 to consider the suggestions and recommendations from various units and localities. The Deputy Minister also required all military units to continue raising awareness about the importance of legal education, law dissemination, and encouraging people to comply with the law at the grassroots level.

The Ministry of National Defense awarded certificates of merit to 76 collectives and 88 individuals with outstanding achievements, including the People’s Army Newspaper and Senior Colonel Ngo Anh Thu, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the People’s Army Newspaper.
