Command 86 named MND's affiliate
PANO – Lieutenant General Pham Hong Huong, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA), chaired a conference to hand over Command 86 to the Ministry of National Defense (MND) on March 30.
The event saw the attendance of representatives from the VPA’s General Staff, the General Departments of Politics, Logistics, and Technical Services and other relevant units of the MND, and Command 86.
Command 86 is a military affiliate and its Party organization reports directly to the Central Military Commission. The command will operate its new missions from April 1, 2018.
Speaking at the event, General Huong highlighted the importance of the command’s position and role in the development of the military. Accordingly, the handover of work must be carried out in line with the prescribed regulations so that the unit would effectively fulfill its missions in the new position.
In addition, the General Staff and other relevant units should continue instructing Command 86 to stabilize its structural organization to be ready for all new assigned missions, making contribution to the development of the military, he concluded.
