MND reviews emulation campaign of logistics sector
PANO – The Steering Committee for the emulation campaign “The military logistics sector follows Uncle Ho’s teaching” under the Ministry of National Defense (MND) held a conference to review the implementation of the emulation campaign and reward work in 2017.
The conference was chaired by the steering committee’s head, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Don, member of the Party Central Committee, permanent member of the Central Military Commission and Deputy Defense Minister. Director of the General Department of Logistics Lieutenant General Duong Van Ra and Political Commissar of the General Department of Logistics Lieutenant General Le Van Hoang also attended the event.

The central report at the conference pointed out the results of the emulation campaign and recommended groups and individuals for commendation and reward. Accordingly, in 2017, the military logistics sector well implemented resolutions and directives of the Central Military Commission and the MND on military-defense tasks, emulation movements and campaigns.
Particularly, the sector also introduced initiatives in carrying out emulation movements and campaigns so as to best fulfill the mission of logistics services in this year. As a result, the emulation campaigns have created momentum for the sector to enhance its combat readiness and troops’ living standards, keeping troops healthy without any outbreak of infectious diseases in the whole army. More achievements were also made in the year thanks to various emulation campaigns in the sector.
Addressing the conference, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Don affirmed that, “The military logistics sector follows Uncle Ho’s teaching” is one the realistic emulation campaigns with substantial results, contributing significantly to the accomplishment of all assigned missions of the whole army. The General stressed that the campaign has helped increase people’s trust in the army and make troops show more affinity and connection towards their units.
For the year 2018, the Deputy Defense Minister asked the logistics sector to continue to closely grasp resolutions and directives from higher levels and regularly review emulation movements and campaigns so as to improve the logistics services in the whole army, meeting the requirements of the army development in the new period.
