The deputy chief of the General Staff asked the unit to closely follow situational developments in the locality they are stationed, especially those at sea. From that, they should make assessment, forecast, and give recommendations to leaders and chains-of-command at all levels to handle any possible contingencies in a timely and effective manner, contributing to maintaining political security, order, and safety in the designated waters.

The unit was also requested to boost patrols, enforce laws, and enhance international cooperation while building a politically-, ideologically-, morally-, and organizationally-strong unit, and ensuring forces and vehicles for duty implementation.
