Chief of the General Staff inspects units’ preparations for Tet

The Chief of the General Staff acknowledged the unit’s remarkable achievements last year and its thorough preparations for maintaining combat readiness for the upcoming Lunar New Year festival. He asked the division to promote education to raise its troops’ revolutionary vigilance, strictly maintain combat readiness, and be prepared to deal with any circumstances. The unit was also requested to plan to ensure troops to have a united, safe, and economical Tet in conformity with Vietnam’s customs and traditions. 

* The same day, Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang attended a get-together for leaders of Military Region (MR) 1’s Command of different periods.

At the meeting, the MR’s representative briefed about the achievements of the MR’s armed forces last year and its preparations for ensuring combat readiness during Tet. Accordingly, the MR’s Party Committee instructed the strict implementation of instructions and resolutions, and paid attention to raising the quality of training, making contributions to firmly building defensive areas and defending national sovereignty. 

Speaking at the meeting, the defense ministry leader said that in the coming time the MR should focus on building revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern armed forces, raising the quality of combat readiness training, strengthening pure and completely strong party organization, as well as promoting education to augment its troops’ vigilance.

As Tet is drawing near, the Chief of the General Staff extended New Year wishes to the command’s leaders of different periods and hoped that they would continue contributing to building a regular, elite, and modern army.
