PANO – Senior Lieutenant-General Nguyen Thanh Cung, Deputy-Defence Minister, visited Tay Ninh Border Guards and the Provincial Border Guard Command on July 12th.
After a practical inspection, the General highly praised good achievements by Tay Ninh Border Guards and Provincial Border Guard Command in the first six months of 2012. All units thoroughly grasped and completely developed resolutions and instructions, made plans suitable to missions of every unit, well accomplished all missions, especially crime prevention and suppression, to maintain stable politics and security and develop a peaceful and friendly border.
The General also asked Tay Ninh border guards and the Provincial Border Guard Command to improve quality of education on national defence and security while having a thorough grasp of missions to timely offer recommendations to local governments and party committees. Also, they should focus on building a strong political basis and military organs in each commune and district. In addition, they should improve their professionalism and combat readiness, as well as enhance solidarity with local people, assist people on border areas, well maintain cooperation of all armed forces, including the police, border guards, military external affairs agencies and customs.
Especially, the armed forces should boost concerted patrols for border security and crime prevention and suppression, build strong defence areas, accelerate socio-economy development for people’s lives.
