PANO – Border Guards of Station No. 228, located in Thua Thien – Hue Province, in collaboration with the local Communist Youth Union, have recently launched a number of activities to help clean up the environment.

These activities are designed to mark the Youth Month, 2009.

153 soldiers and local youth have collected garbage, clean-up the environment and provided mosquito-nets to protect the health of local people.

In 2008, border soldiers at the station also organized 31 talk shows to educate people on the Party’s policies and the State’s laws and took part in 500-day public works project to help locals harvest crops and upgrade their irrigation systems.
