Border guards practice oil spill response
PANO – The Da Nang city Border Guard Command and SOS Environment Company jointly organized a training course and drill on tackling oil spill in the city on October 22.
At the training course, instructors from SOS Environment Company equipped trainees with basic knowledge on setting up plans to prevent oil spills, implicit risks caused during the incident response, and steps to deal with an oil spill.
During the exercise, the city’s border guards in association with local functional forces practiced tackling an oil spill according to a specific scenario.
The program aimed to promote those forces’ competency in responding to oil and chemical spill incidents so as to minimize loses in human and property.
