Border guards active in border management and protection

PANO - Over the past five years, the Party Committee and Chain-of-Command of the Vietnam Border Guard Command have led and directed the implementation of the “Determined-to-Win” emulation movement in the 2019-2024 period in a comprehensive, systematic, extensive, intensive, substantial manner, greatly encouraging and motivating troops to fulfill their assigned tasks.

Attentively, the border guard force has kept a close watch on situational developments in border areas, at sea, and on islands. They have given timely suggestions to the Party, the State, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense and the Party committees and authorities of border provinces and cities to have appropriate policies and measures to firmly protect territorial sovereignty and border security.

Border guard officers and soldiers have always upheld their political stance and revolutionary ethics, shown determination, constantly innovated working methods and styles, and pro-actively coordinated with departments at all levels and forces to well perform their functions related to defense, security and foreign affairs. Their good performance of these functions has helped maintain political security, social order and safety, building strong border areas in all aspects, and at the same time raise awareness and responsibility of the entire people in managing and protecting territorial sovereignty and border security of the nation.
