Army School holds exchange with authors of articles about Hoang Sa and Truong Sa
PANO - Army Officer Training College 2, in association with Dong Nai province, held an exchange program with authors of art works on Vietnam’s seas and islands to mark the Vietnam Book Day (April 21), on April 20 evening.
The event was also in celebration of the 42th anniversary of the Liberation of South Vietnam and Unification of the country (April 30, 1975).
An art performance in the event
Present at the event were school’s leaders, representatives of Dong Nai provincial agencies and school’s staff, instructors and cadets.
The event also saw the participation of several guests, including musician Cao Hong Son, poet Do Minh Duong and photographer Nguyen Dinh Quoc Van.
Speaking at the event, Senior Colonel Do Hoang Ngan, Deputy Chief of the Political Department of the school, said that the movement of reading books has regularly been maintained in the school over the past years, contributing to building a healthy cultural environment in the school. Promoting the reading culture and introducing books have been carried out in an effective manner and in various attractive forms
The facilities serving the need of its staff and cadets to read books have continuously been upgraded. The school has also put in operation a modern library system with a sufficient amount of books and other publications to meet the various needs for research and study of its staff and cadets, contributing to enhancing education and training quality, science research at the school.
At the event, guests showed their sentiment to Uncle Ho’s soldiers as well as demonstrated their responsibility for the cause of national construction and defense in their works.
Earlier, the school had held an exhibition on maps and documents themed “Vietnam’s Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) – Historical and legal evidence”.
