After being briefed on the academy’s task performance in the last school year and preparations for the new school year, the minister praised their achievements.

“In spite of difficulties and challenges, the academy has always embraced its missions, accomplishing its education and training targets, scientific research, and building a comprehensively strong academy,” said the general.

The  mission recognized that the academy has made efforts in renewing contents and training methods, combining theory with reality and successfully merging both roles as an educational institution and a combat unit.

Moreover, the academy has well maintained the military discipline and regulations, worked closely with local authorities, and fulfilled its task of providing training for domestic and international students.

The Defense Minister asked the academy to continue to embrace the Party’s guidelines on military development, especially the resolutions on “National protection strategy in the current context” and “Basic and comprehensive renewal in education and training to meet the demands of industrialization and modernization in the socialist-oriented market economy and international integration” of the 11th Party Central Committee.

The academy should also continue to promote scientific research, foreign language and IT training, and education on law and economics for its academic staff and students, he added.

General  Lich noted that as a unit stationed in the Highlands, the academy is not only tasked to train and provide human resources for the army, but also be ready to enter combat when needed and become a strong foundation for local authorities to rely on.

On the same day, General  Lich and his entourage also visited and worked with the leadership of Lam Dong province.
