Ambulances handed over to medical units
PANO – The Military Medical Department of the Ministry of National Defense on September 27 handed over MB-sponsored ambulances to medical units under Military Region 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 and 9.

Speaking at the hand-over, Major General Vu Quoc Binh,
Head of the Military Medical Department, said that ensuring troops’ health is an
important mission and a practical requirement in building and strengthening the army. Over the past years, the protection of senior officials' health has
gained many achievements, and policies for troops have been improved, meeting
missions’ requirements.
Seven ambulances worth VND 2 billion each were sponsored
by the Military Joint Stock Commercial Bank (MB) and each is
equipped with full medical facilities for emergency situations, such as a
modern oxidizer system, an automatic stretcher, a first aid kit case and an advanced
patient health monitoring system.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Defense Minister, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Don highlighted that the use of these ambulances will improve the quality of protecting troops’ health. He also asked medical units to take full
advantage of these ambulances to ensure the well-being of troops and allowing them to react
expeditiously in the event of accidents or injuries.
