PANO – Recently, about 1,500 air defence troops from Division 375 have helped people in Da Nang City clean up roads, beaches and residential areas, removing hundreds of tons of debris left by the recent storms and flooding.

Senior Lieutenant Le Ngoc Tai, commander of Company 1, Battalion 1, said that to fulfil the task, troops had to work all day. Even many troops whose own houses were submerged by floodwaters also participated in the assignment. “Helping local people surmount the consequences of natural disasters makes me feel happy,” said Private Nguyen Huu Thong from Company 1.

100 troops from Brigade 74 of the General Department II of the Defence Ministry and air defence soldiers collected debris along Xuan Thieu Beach.
