PANO - Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security, visited and congratulated the People's Army Newspaper (PAN) on June 21st on the occasion of the 91st anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press (June 21st 1925.)

In addition, representatives from ministries, sectors, and units inside and outside the army congratulated PAN on the day. Notably, Minister of National Defense General Ngo Xuan Lich, Minister of Home Affairs Le Vinh Tan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff under the Vietnam People's Army Sen. Lt. Gen. Vo Van Tuan sent flowers to congratulate PAN's reporters.

During the day, PAN's Hanoi-based headquarters and representative agencies nationwide received 250 delegations. They made visits to encourage PAN's journalists and soldiers to continue striving to better fulfill all missions assigned by the Party, State, army and people as well as contributing to the national construction and defense cause in the time to come.

* The same day, Minister-Chairman of the Government Office and the Government's Spokesman Mai Tien Dung hosted a meeting to congratulate press workers on the occasion of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.

At the event, the official highly valued press agencies' role in disseminating the government's policies and measures to develop the national socio-economy such as stabilizing macroscopic economy, control inflation, to name but a few. In addition, the press provided timely information related to foreign affairs of the government and its leaders for the people, contributing to building their belief on the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the operation of the Government as well as quickly putting the government's policies into life.
