The Vietnamese delegation touring the Indian Armored Warfare School
The school’s head, Brigadier Akash Bhanot, received and briefed the Vietnamese guests on the school’s operation. Accordingly, the school has more than 20 departments and centers, nearly 1,000 trainees who are officers in armored and mechanized infantry units from Indian and foreign militaries.

The trainees practice in automatically and digitally simulated training grounds and battle fields.

At the reception, Brigadier Akash Bhanot spoke highly of the role of young officers, including those from Vietnam, and their high sense of responsibility in learning and practicing, actively contributing to the school’s achievements. On behalf of the Vietnamese delegation, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Dinh Quoc Hung, Head of the Military Youth Board, highly valued the Indian school’s modern and logical training methods and hoped that more young Vietnamese officers would be trained at the school in the coming time.

The host wished the two countries’ defense ties to be enhanced in a comprehensive and effective manner.

He also suggested young Vietnamese and Indian officers study important cooperation agreements signed by the two Defense Ministries, including the Joint Vision Statement on Defense Cooperation for the 2015-2020 period, and further raise their awareness of politics; improve their expertise, techno-tactical skills; heighten innovative, decisive, responsible spirit; and pioneer in applying advanced IT to their training.
