Delivering the opening speech, Senior Colonel Nguyen Hoang Tan, Deputy Commissar of the provincial Military Command, said that Vietnam and Cambodia share a borderline and enjoy a long-time relationship. The seminar was part of the efforts to expand the friendship and cooperation, helping young officers of the two countries meet and share experiences and their aspirations to preserve and promote the traditional friendship between the two militaries and peoples.

At the seminar, the participating young officers expressed their admiration for the traditional friendship of the two countries as well as support of Vietnam People’s Army to the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces. They resolved to promote the solidarity of Vietnam and Cambodia and shared experiences in studying and working in order to augment their expertise to meet requirements of missions in the current context.

Earlier, Vietnamese and Cambodian young officers visited Unit 125 in Long Giao commune, Dong Nai province’s Cam My district, where the Cambodian revolutionary armed forces for national salvation were established, Thich Ca Phat Dai (Platform of Shakyamuni Buddha) Temple and participated in artistic and sports exchanges.
