Vietnamese MND hands over medical equipment to Lao Ministry of National Defense
PANO - The Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense (MND) held a ceremony on June 17 in Hanoi to hand over medical equipment to the Lao Ministry of National Defense to help the country fulfill its role as ASEAN Chair 2024.
Speaking at the hand-over ceremony, Deputy Director of the Department of Military Medicine under the General Department of Logistics Senior Colonel Le Van Dong emphasized that the cooperation in military medicine is one of the spotlights in the Vietnam - Laos defense ties and a testament to the effective cooperation between the two countries in general and two militaries in particular.

He added that the Vietnamese military medical sector always treasures and prioritizes strengthening the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries. The sector is ready to continue supporting Laos within its capabilities in organizing military-defense events in the field of military medicine in 2024. On this occasion, Col. Dong expressed the wish that two defense ministries in general and two military medical sectors in particular would bring into play the obtained achievements and expand cooperation in both breadth and depth.
For his part, Lao Defense Attaché to Vietnam Colonel Vongxay Inthakham emphasized that over the past time, the Vietnamese MND has constantly provided spiritual and material assistance to the Lao MND, demonstrating a strong bond between the two countries. Col. Vongxay Inthakham thanked the Vietnamese MND for the medical equipment and affirmed that this equipment would be utilized most effectively.
