CICA is the abbreviated form of Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia. As an inter-governmental forum consisting of 27 Asian countries, it was launched by Kazakhstan in 1992 in order to enhance cooperation among all members in five sectors, namely political-military, new challenges and threats, economy, environment, and people. Vietnam became an official member of CICA in 2010.
