At the reception, the regiment’s Political Commissar Colonel Dang Thai Son briefed the Lao guests on the unit’s traditions and missions.
Accordingly, over the past more than 71 years of development, the regiment has always fulfilled its assigned tasks. Its officers and soldiers have stayed united, exerted efforts and overcome difficulties to gain achievements, shining the unit’s traditions of “Loyalty - Courage - Good training - Victory.”
With their accomplishments, the unit’s two collectives and three individuals were honored with the Hero of People’s Armed Forces title and other noble awards.

In addition, its young officers have promoted their role and responsibility while the vanguard and creativity of the Youth Union Organization and Women’s Union Organization have been enhanced, making important contribution to the unit’s completion of political tasks.
In the atmosphere of solidarity and friendship, the two sides shared experience in managing and expansion of the Women’s Union and Youth Union Organizations, disseminating the Party and State’s legal documents, military discipline, and each unit’s regulations among their personnel. They also discussed ways to renovate dissemination methods and manage troops’ thought. These included seminars, competitions, and cultural, artistic and sport exchanges.

Regarding the visit and exchange at Regiment 692, Major Santi Phimmathong, Second-in-Command Officer of Attapeu province’s Xaysettha District Military Command, expressed his hope to learn more about practical experience in women and youth work from other units under the Vietnam People’s Army.
On behalf of the Lao delegation, Lieutenant Colonel Nat Thepphavong expressed gratitude to the Hanoi Capital Command and Regiment 692 for their reception and offering them a chance of expertise exchange.
