Accordingly, the forum takes place from August 12 to 14, drawing the participation of official military delegations from 83 countries, with 39 delegations led by Defense Ministers and Chiefs of the General Staff.
The high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense led by Defense Minister General Phan Van Giang is attending the forum at the invitation of his Russian counterpart Andrey Removich Belousov.
In addition, more than 1,000 enterprises and organizations from Russia and other countries are showcasing military and dual-use products, models, marketing documents, and related information at the forum.
Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a welcome message to the forum, emphasizing that ARMY-2024 is an iconic international military-technical forum and this is the 10th time the event has been held.
Russia always appreciates the interest and cooperation of the partners attending the forum, and is ready to promote cooperation to jointly create equal and indivisible security and build a new, fairer multipolar world, the Russian leader stated in the message.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov emphasized that ARMY-2024 focuses on new forms of armed struggle, as well as measures for the industry to adapt to meet military tasks. He believed that the forum will contribute to realizing breakthrough ideas in defense and expanding military-technical cooperation with international partners.
The forum displays weapons and special military equipment that have proven effective in reality, including BMP-2M infantry fighting vehicle, T-90M Proryv main battle tank, Phlox 120mm self-propelled gun, Malva 152mm self-propelled gun, Bastion coastal defense missile system, Iskander-M tactical missile system, TOS-2 Flamethrower System, Pantsir-S1 air defense missile and gun system, among others.
Attentively, many potential weapons and equipment are displayed for the first time at ARMY-2024, such as Meerkat wearable electronic warfare system, upgraded Supercam S350M unmanned aerial vehicle, Amur 950 non-nuclear submarine, and more.
After the launching ceremony, Gen. Giang and the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation toured booths at ARMY-2024.
