During the patrol, the Vietnamese and Chinese naval forces patrolled along a 300-nautical-mile long stretch of sea in the Gulf of Tonkin and implemented contents such as information sharing, search and rescue missions, to name but a few.

Despite bad weather and strong waves, the joint patrol ended successfully and safely.

The organization of joint patrols aims to maintain order and security in the shared maritime area in the Gulf of Tonkin and implement the Vietnam-China fishery cooperation agreement.
