The joint patrol team from Ba Nang Border Post of the Quang Tri provincial Border Guard Command (Vietnam) and Unit 511 of the Salavan Provincial Military Command (Laos) conducts a comparison of boundary markers based on documents and actual locations.

Despite the scorching heat, with temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celsius, and the challenging mountainous terrain, the patrol forces successfully overcame the difficulties and conducted border inspections. They ensured the safety of the  Vietnam - Laos border boundary marker system, specifically from Marker No.621 to Marker No.622. The inspection confirmed that there were no changes to the border boundary, and the national boundary marker system remained intact.

Throughout the patrol, both units prioritized the safety of personnel, weapons, and technical equipment. They strictly adhered to regulations regarding COVID-19 prevention and control.

The joint patrol activities enabled the timely detection of border regulation violations and the maintenance of political security and order at the border and border gates. This effort contributed to strengthening unity and friendship between the border protection forces of both countries, as well as fostering closer ties between Vietnam and Laos. Additionally, the patrols aimed to raise awareness and educate residents living along both sides of the border to strictly adhere to the agreements signed between Vietnam and Laos.
