General Quyet informed comrade Bounnhang Vorachith about the positive achievements of Vietnam in socio-economic development, the Party building work and preparation work for its upcoming 14th National Party Congress, the situation of the Vietnam People’s Army and positive outcomes in the Vietnam - Laos defense cooperation. Accordingly, the Vietnam - Laos defense cooperation has made important contribution to the developments of the bilateral ties between the two countries and militaries.
Accordingly, the Vietnam - Laos defense cooperation has developed over the past time. In addition, the Vietnamese and Lao GDPs’ functional agencies have worked closely to comprehensively and effectively conduct cooperated contents, while boosting dissemination work to educate troops and young generations about the special Vietnam-Laos relationship and solidarity.
In acknowledgement of the remarkable contribution of comrade Bounnhang Vorachith to enhancing the bilateral ties of the two states and militaries, General Quyet hoped that he would support and make further contribution to tightening the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
* On the same day, General Quyet and the delegation visited and talked with the Political Theory School and the Ethnic Culture School of the Lao People’s Army.

At the school, General Quyet affirmed that Party and political work is vital for both militaries, ensuring that the military is loyal to the Party, State, people and socialism. Therefore, the Political Theory School of the Lao People’s Army plays an important role, contributing to providing Lao troops with political theory, thereby enhancing troops’ trust to the leadership of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party towards the cause of the country’s construction and protection.
He underscored that the Vietnamese GDP always welcomes the close, effective, and comprehensive cooperation between the Political Theory School of the Lao People’s Army and Vietnamese military schools, hoping that they would promote experience exchange on Party and political work and studies on the implementation of Party and political work, among others.
* The same day, General Quyet and the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation also visited Star Telecom Company (Unitel) of the Military Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel) in Vientiane.

Addressing the meeting, General Quyet hailed the efforts and business results of Star Telecom Company, saying that its services have covered even the most remote areas of Laos, significantly contributing to local socio-economic development over the past 15 years.
General Quyet requested the company to continue its business in combination with economic foreign affairs and defense external affairs and to be a symbol and a model of economic cooperation between the two countries.
