Vietnamese and Chinese units coordinate bilingual legal outreach for border residents

Officials and residents from both sides of the border participate in the bilingual Vietnamese - Chinese legal awareness and education program.

Officers of the Border Post of Sam Pun Border Gate distribute materials and promote legal awareness among residents in the border area.

The event was attended by representatives of Son Vi commune’s police force and units of Tuyen Quang’s Police.

During the program, authorities from both sides distributed bilingual leaflets and documents on agreements and protocols related to the management and protection of the Vietnam - China land border. They also introduced regulations on border gate management, entry and exit procedures, prevention of illegal crossings, and measures to combat smuggling, trafficking of prohibited goods, and cross-border crime.

Officers from both countries also provided direct consultation and answered questions on cross-border travel, trade activities, and issues affecting the daily lives of border residents, helping improve legal awareness and compliance among local people.

The activity also helped strengthen friendship and solidarity, enhance coordination in managing and protecting the border section and border markers, and contribute to building a border of peace, stability, cooperation, and development.
