Vietnam, US exchange airport security management
PANO – A seminar gathering professionals from the Vietnam Air Defense-Air Force Service and the US Air Force was held at the Air Force Officer Training School in Nha Trang City (Khanh Hoa province) on September 11.
The nine-member US Air Force mission included experienced pilots, technicians and aviation support staff.
At the meeting, leadership of the school briefed the American guests on their functions, tasks, and training courses for students. Then, the two sides exchanged their experience in maintaining aviation safety at airports.
Particularly, the US side outlined the capabilities and missions of the 36th Contingency Response Group (CRG 36), on training pilots and crewmembers, maintaining aircraft and airports, and ensuring air traffic security.
Meanwhile, relevant agencies of the Vietnam Air Defense-Air Force Service and the Air Force Officer Training School discussed a number of issues related to their operations, response to incidents at military airports, implementation of aviation technologies, and maintaining air traffic and signal safety.
The seminar will conclude on September 14.
