Vietnam, U.K. exchange experience in U.N. peacekeeping operations
PANO – From October 19 to 21, at Military Hospital 175, the Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations (VDPKO) held a professional exchange with an expert delegation from the United Kingdom.
The exchange focused on giving ideas about preventing sexual violence in conflicts for member of the Level-two Field Hospital (L2FH) Rotation 5.

Several issues were discussed including viewpoints on sex and gender and conflicts related to sexual violence.
Through the program, the organizers wished to equip members of the L2FH Rotation 5 with knowledge and experience when undertaking tasks at U.N. peacekeeping missions.
In addition, the event aimed to enhance mutual understanding, contributing to promoting bilateral defense ties between Vietnam and the U.K. in general and cooperation in U.N. peacekeeping operations in particular.
Relevant units will coordinate to organize another professional exchange with similar contents for personnel of the Engineering Company Rotation 2 and the VDPKO’s staff.
