Particularly, the Women Association of the Provincial Border Guards gave food and medical supplies, worth VND 10 million in total, to the functional forces of the Lao locality close to the Thanh Border Post of Vietnam.

The beneficiaries expressed their deep gratitude for the care and support of the Quang Tri Provincial Border Guards’ Women Association and stressed that the gifts contribute to strengthening solidarity and friendship between the two countries amid the COVID-pandemic.

Previously, troops of the Checkpoint of the La Lay International Border Guard Station handed over 50 pieces of protective clothes, 20 hand sanitizers, 150 medical gloves and 100 face masks to troops and people of Sa Mouay district, Salavan province.

Regarding the activity, Colonel Nguyen Xuan Toan, Political Commissar of the Quang Tri Provincial Border Guards, said that his unit hopes to join the COVID-19 fight with Lao friends, therefore, they have required all troops and called on sponsors to share difficulties with Lao people.

From April 5 to 12, the affiliated units of the Provincial Border Guards presented 2.5 tons of rice, instant noodles, clean water, and medical supplies to Lao people, at a total cost of VND 182.6 million.
