Vietnam Naval Academy attends 26th Conference of Naval Universities in Indo-Pacific region
PANO - A delegation of the Naval Academy of Vietnam is attending the 26th Conference of Naval Universities in the Indo-Pacific Region hosted by the Command and Staff College, the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) from February 20 to 24 in Japan.
Representatives of nearly 20 schools of regional navies attended the conference. Vice Admiral Egawa Hiroshi, Director of the Command and Staff College under the JMSDF chaired and delivered the opening speech.

The conference themed "Naval cooperation for the future generation" was organized into three sessions with the following topics: Regional conflicts and maritime flows, impacts of climate change on global security; humanitarian assistance and disaster relief in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Senior Captain Lai Hong Dong, Head of the Department of Education and Training under the Vietnam Naval Academy and the head delegate, attended the session themed “Impacts of climate change on global security.”
The speech of the Vietnamese naval officer received appreciation from Vice Admiral Egawa Hiroshi and participants.
Vice Admiral Egawa Hiroshi hoped to enhance the exchange and sharing of professional knowledge about the future of maritime security among naval schools in the Indo-Pacific region.
