An overview of the working session between the Vietnam Naval Academy and the mission of the Cambodian military attaché’s office

During the reception for the mission, the Naval Academy’s President Rear Admiral Nguyen Van Lam thanked the Cambodian officers for visiting the academy and briefed them on the academy’s establishment, development, missions, organization, education-training outcomes, and its orientation for building the school in the coming time.

The academy’s president also affirmed the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia cultivated by late President Ho Chi Minh and former King Norodom Sihanouk under the motto of “Good neighbors, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation and long-term sustainability.”

For his part, Cambodian Military Attaché to Vietnam Colonel Rem Kann thanked the Vietnamese side for its warm welcome and highly appreciated the academy’s outcomes in coordinating and supporting the Royal Cambodian Navy in training work.

On the occasion, the Cambodian officer also sent his congratulations to Vietnam’s Naval Academy on its achievements in education and training as well as in the building of a regular and modern academy.

He underlined that the refresher courses for officers of the Royal Cambodian Navy held by the Vietnam Naval Academy over the past time have contributed to beautifying the precious traditions of the two countries in the time to come.

* On the same day, the Vietnam Naval Academy received a delegation of officers and sailors of the landing ship tank RSS Persistence of the navy force of Singapore.

During the working session, the two sides exchanged information on their activities and presented gifts to each other.

In addition, Singaporean officers and sailors joined various activities, including a cultural and artistic exchange program, a seminar on the history of the two countries’ naval forces for young officers, among others.
