Vietnam, Laos expand cooperation on defense trade union work
PANO – Major General Le Hien Van, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army, received a delegation of the Lao Defense Trade Union Board in Hanoi on November 7.
At the meeting, the Head of the Lao delegation, Colonel Bouakham Khunmisouk, held that over the past time, the two Defense Trade Union Boards have promoted their cooperation in various fields, particularly in regularly organizing delegation-exchanges, training, seminars, and fact-finding tours.
This time’s visit to Vietnam offered an opportunity to the two boards to learn more about the traditional special relationship and comprehensive cooperation between the Parties, States and Armies, he emphasized.
For his part, General Van highly valued of the outcomes of talks between the two Defense Trade Union Boards, adding that the Vietnamese General Department of Politics will facilitate their joint business in order to contribute the Party and political work performance of each army.
* Previously, leaders of the two Defense Trade Union Boards met together to exchange their experiences in conducting assigned tasks, especially in managing military-run businesses and carrying out social welfare activities.
During their visit to Vietnam, the Lao delegates will also tour local landscapes.
