Vietnam and Germany will focus their defence cooperation on defence industries, military science and technology and training, exchange visits at all levels and sharing experiences on keeping peace and dealing with the consequences of war.
This was stated at a meeting between Deputy Minister of Defence Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh and visiting State Secretary for Defence of Germany Rudiger Wolf in Hanoi on Sept. 9.
Vinh said he hoped the German secretary’s visit would help boost the friendship and mutual understanding between the armies and people of the two countries.
The German official expressed his joy to visit Vietnam and see the achievements the country has gained in its construction and development.
At the event, both host and guest briefed one another about the current socio-economic, political, defence and security situations in their countries.
While here, Rudiger Wolf and his entourage visited the Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace, the Vietnam Military History Museum and several military units.
