Vietnam, France share experience in joining UN peacekeeping operations
PANO – A Vietnam-France conference to share experience in joining UN peacekeeping operations was held on June 6 in Hanoi. This is the fourth time that Vietnam and France have exchanged experience in the field.
At the conference, French experts introduced contents related to the operation and organization of a UN peacekeeping mission, the assurance of logistics and technical equipment at a UN peacekeeping mission and medical supply and treatment within the operation of a level-two field hospital, among others.
Addressing the conference, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Peacekeeping Center, Senior Colonel Nguyen Nhu Canh stressed the importance of the conference this time as Vietnam is preparing to deploy its level-two field hospital in the coming time. The conference has also helped concretize the Vietnam-France technical agreement on the cooperation in joining UN peacekeeping operations signed by the ministries of defense of the two countries.
