Ship CSB 8001's crewmembers welcomed home at Vung Tau port

On a voyage of nearly 2,500 nautical miles from Chennai port, the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, the ship reached Vung Tau port absolutely safely thanks to the crew’s confidence, solidarity and expertise despite rough seas and strong winds.

During the visit to India, the ship’s crewmembers paid a courtesy call to the Command of the Indian Coast Guard Eastern Region, exchanged with the host on issues related to the ship’s voyage and solutions to boost the two side’ cooperation in law enforcement at sea.

They also visited the Maritime Rescue Coordination Center (MRCC), Chennai (the Indian Coast Guard) and Indian Coast Guard Ship Shaurya.

During their stay in India, the two sides had cultural and sports exchange activities and visited ships of each side to boost solidarity and mutual understanding among them.

It was the first time a ship of the Vietnam Coast Guard had visited India. It marked the development of the cooperation, solidarity, friendship between the Vietnamese and Indian Coast Guard forces.

The success of the visit contributed to the two sides’ common goals of cooperation to ensure navigation security and safety of each nation and related regions, in part improving the efficiency of foreign relations and international cooperation of the Vietnam Coast Guard.
