Dak Nong provincial Border Guard Commander Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Lu and Mondulkiri provincial Military Sub-region Commander Lieutenant General San Kim Oeun co-chaired the event.

Both sides sign cooperation agreement.

Meanwhile, they have also promoted information dissemination to raise public awareness of preventing and fighting crimes and illegal crossings in border areas, while sharing information to effectively prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the talks, the two sides signed a cooperation agreement in 2022, attaching much attention to exchanging information, ensuring political security and social order, fighting crimes, and implementing search and rescue mission in border areas.

Accordingly, during unexpected situations, the two sides will notify and direct their affiliated units to deal with. They should also make recommendations to local authorities to promote exchanges and twinning activities between the two border peoples, and foster information dissemination among the locals, to name but a few.
