The 10-day course also gives trainees information about tricks of drug-related criminals as well as approaches to building and mobilizing forces for crime prevention and fighting with the aim of improving their professional expertise and skills.

The program also aims to promote coordination between Vietnamese and Lao police forces and the Kon Tum provincial Border Guard force in controlling drug-related crimes.

In recent years, relevant Vietnamese and Lao forces have worked closely with each other to deal with many drug trafficking cases, seizing 40 bars of heroin and tens of thousands of tablets of methamphetamine.
