Training course held to promote Vietnamese, Cambodian militaries’ ties
PANO - A refresher course on military strategy studies for officers from the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces concluded on September 17 at Unit 871 of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army with an aim to boost the multifaceted cooperation between the two militaries.
The month-long course, the eighth of its kind, was held by the Defense Strategy Institute of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense.
Addressing the closing ceremony, Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Than, the Institute’s Deputy Director, highly valued the high sense of responsibility and all-out efforts of the instructors, trainees and relevant agencies to make the course a success. All requirements set for the course were met with high quality.
The Vietnamese senior officer hoped that after the course, the Cambodian officers will creatively apply acquired knowledge to their work so as to accomplish all of their assignments.
During the course, officers from the Center of Military Strategy Studies of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces learned theories on ten topics related to military strategies and went on field trips to several units under Military Region 1. These activities helped foster the understanding and the time-honored friendship between the militaries of Vietnam and Cambodia.
