Singaporean Armed Forces traditional day observed in Hanoi
PANO – Vietnam and Singapore with their high political determination will make efforts to boost the bilateral defense ties, said Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA) Lieutenant General Ngo Minh Tien at a ceremony to mark the 54th founding anniversary of the Singapore Armed Forces on July 11 in Hanoi.

Speaking at the event, held by the Singaporean Embassy in Vietnam, Colonel Edmund Tan, Singaporean Defense Attaché to Vietnam, highly appreciated the defense relations between Vietnam and Singapore over the past time.
He believed, the two sides will continue promoting mutual understanding, especially in the current context of various security challenges facing both Vietnam and Singapore. He also hoped the bilateral defense cooperation would be further promoted in the time to come.
For his part, General Tien affirmed that Vietnam always treasures the defense ties with Singapore, expressing his belief that the ties would develop in the fields of delegation exchanges, young officers’ exchanges, naval cooperation and personnel training.
