The course aims to share professional knowledge and experience with the Lao officers and strengthen the coordination in managing and protecting the borderline and maintaining political security and social order in border areas, thus building a borderline of peace, stability, sustainable and long-term development.

Through the course, the organizing panel expects to strengthen the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two parties, nations, and especially between the Nghe An provincial Border Guard Command and the Military Commands of Xiengkhoang and Huaphan provinces.

During a month-long course, Lao border guard officers will be provided with essential knowledge regarding border management, protection, military affairs, and border guard operations.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Second-in-Command and Chief of Staff of the Nghe An provincial Border Guard Command Senior Colonel Ho Quyet Thang asked the trainees to actively study to thoroughly grasp the provided contents and hoped that they would pass on the acquired knowledge to their colleagues and creatively apply them to their border management duties.

He also asked the organizing panel to well manage the trainees, regular check the studying and teaching, objectively and accurately evaluate the results, maintain culture and sports activities, and honor officers with excellent results.
