In the implementation of the guidelines of the two countries’ defense ministries as well as of the Vietnam Border Guard Command and Lao Border Guard Department on border guard training for Lao armed forces, the Quang Binh provincial Border Guard Command has closely worked with the Khammuane provincial Military Command to make preparations for the course.

During the one-month long course, the Lao trainees are equipped with knowledge on political and military affairs as well as border management and protection, contributing to raising competence and ability for the Lao border protection force.

The program is also to enhance and promote solidarity between the two countries and provinces, especially the Quang Binh provincial Border Guard Command and the Khammuane provincial Military Command.

Addressing the event, Second-in-Command of the Quang Binh provincial Border Guard Command Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Hai recalled the tradition of friendship and solidarity between the two parties and two states, while affirming that the border guard forces of the two sides have promoted solidarity and coordination to protect the shared borderline, and ensure political security and social order in border areas.

He expressed his hope that the trainees and instructors during the course will overcome all difficulties so as to convey and acquire the required knowledge and apply it to the reality.
