Refresher course for Lao military journalists concludes
PANO – The National Defense Journal (NDJ) under the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army held a ceremony on September 19 to conclude the refresher course for personnel of the Defense Journal of the Lao People’s Army.
Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Do Hong Lam, Editor-in-Chief of the NDJ of Vietnam said that his unit has actively collaborated with relevant agencies to organize the course under the approval and direction of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army.
During the fortnight long program, Lao trainees were provided with knowledge related to researching, editing and writing articles. In addition, they had an opportunity to exchange experience with the editors and journalists of the NDJ of Vietnam. The organizers hoped that the Lao personnel would apply their acquired knowledge to improving the quality of articles on the Lao Defense Journal.
In reply, Lieutenant Colonel Thimsao Duongchampa, Head of the Lao delegation, thanked Vietnam’s NDJ and relevant agencies for their support. He reaffirmed that Lao military journalists will apply the acquired expertise and experience to fulfilling their assigned tasks in the time to come.
