Preparations for sixth Vietnam-China border defense friendship exchange discussed
PANO – Major General Le Duc Thai, Commander of the Vietnam Border Guard, on October 23 chaired a meeting with its affiliated units to review preparations for the upcoming sixth Vietnam-China border defense friendship exchange.
Reportedly, so far, the preparation for the exchange has been almost completed. Specifically, the organizing panel and relevant organs have been established, a dissemination plan for during and after the exchange has been mapped out, and plans to ensure safety during the event have also been created.

Addressing the event, General Thai hailed the great efforts of relevant units in overcoming difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic to make good preparations for the program.
He also asked them to work with local authorities to organize activities in the framework of the program, ensure logistic services, and focus on dissemination work, among others.
The sixth Vietnam-China border defense friendship exchange is scheduled to be held in Quang Ninh province this year with many interesting activities, including talks, a joint patrol, planting “trees of friendship,” and presenting scholarships to poor students in border areas.
