PANO - On October 10, experts of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) opened a training course for 70 medical personnel at Military Hospital 175 under the Vietnam Ministry of National Defense.

The training course

The course is part of a training program on the pre-deployment of the level-two field hospital of Vietnam in preparation for United Nations peacekeeping operations.

It aims to provide fundamental knowledge of the International Humanitarian Law, the Law of Armed Conflict, and the Law of Peaceable Coercion in attachment with regulations of the United Nations, contributing to helping them fulfill their future missions.

During the two-day course, ICRC's experts will also briefly inform trainees of their organization and achievements over the past time as well as share practical experience in joining UN peacekeeping missions.
