The Vietnamese delegates also visited Cambodian military and police units, including the Army Command of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, Royal Cambodian Navy, Royal Cambodian Department of Development, the General Department of the National Police, the Royal Gendarmerie of Cambodia, the Special Region Command, Brigade 70 and Vietnam Embassy in Cambodia. They also paid tribute to fallen Vietnamese soldiers at the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Monument in Phnom Penh.

During the visit, General Trung briefed the hosts on socio-economic, security and defense situations of the military region. He believed that the fine relations between Vietnamese localities of Military Region 7 and Cambodian people will be further strengthened through visits and cooperation in socio-economics, defense, and security.

Expressing deep thanks to the guests, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Men Sam An and leaders of Cambodia’s military units said that Cambodian Government, military, and people always bear in mind the Vietnam People’s Army’s valuable assistance for the  Cambodians in their struggle to overthrow the genocidal regime of Pol Pot and revive the country. He affirmed that activities to welcome the traditional festival will help younger  Cambodian generations learn more about the tradition and solidarity between the two countries.
