During the event, the two sides agreed to continue implementing their reached agreements, focusing on exchanging information, enhancing border patrols, preventing cross-border crime and expediting the border demarcation and landmark erection.
Additionally, they planned to provide information for people living along both sides of the shared borderline and mobilize them to follow the two countries’ signed agreements. The Vietnamese side is willing to welcome Cambodian delegations to their military region and hopes to collaborate with local Red Cross organizations to launch humanitarian healthcare programs and charity activities for Cambodian needy people and Vietnamese-Khmer citizens in twinned localities.
They are also determined to continue strengthening their traditional solidarity, friendship and cooperation in the time to come, contributing to building a joint border of peace, friendship and sustainable development.
