During the event, the Vietnamese delegation attended the opening ceremony, and toured booths and areas displaying products of several major businesses and groups in the world. The delegation also had meetings with some partners to discuss mutual concerns and bilateral cooperation.

At the meeting with Seok Jong-gun, Director of the Republic of Korea (RoK)’s Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA), the two sides expressed their delight at the fruitful development of the Vietnam - RoK comprehensive strategic partnership in general and bilateral defense cooperation in particular. Attentively, both sides have paid much attention to coordination in defense industry and military trade, reaping practical outcomes.

Sr. Lt. Gen. Phung Si Tan spoke highly of the position and role of DAPA and hoped that the DAPA would continue contributing to the development of the Vietnam - RoK bilateral defense cooperation. For his part, DAPA Director Seok Jong-gun valued coordination with Vietnamese partners, hoping that the two sides would promote practical and effective cooperation in defense industry in the time to come.

At the working sessions with other partners, Sr. Lt. Gen. Phung Si Tan expressed sincere thanks to defense ministries of countries for attending the first Vietnam International Defense Expo in 2022 and hoped that they will continue to participate in the second event, which will take place on December 19-22.
