Military Hospital 175 receives the certificate of merit.

The ceremony saw the attendance of Consul General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City Watanabe Nobuhiro and the hospital director Major General Nguyen Hong Son.

During four months of cooperation and accompanying the Consulate General of Japan in its vaccination, Military Hospital 175 have safely and effectively provided over 3,200 shots for Japanese workers and businesspeople living and working in Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring localities.

The two agencies have also coordinated with each other to offer 14,000 doses from the abundant COVID-19 vaccine source to people in provinces of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan, Vinh Long, Ben Tre, Kien Giang, Ba Ria-Vung Tau and Dong Thap.

The Vietnamese hospital has also teamed with the Consulate General of Japan to give PCR testing and issue PCR testing certificates to those entering Japan from Vietnam.

In addition, its treatment center for COVID-19 patients has successfully cured Japanese patients, taken care of and given health consultation to Japanese people and entrepreuners in Ho Chi Minh City. Moreover, Japanese enterprises have lent Military Hospital 175 one ECMO machine and provided it with another ECMO machine, along with 14 sets of ECMO supplies, to serve the treatment for severe COVID-19 patients.

Over the past time, Japan has been a strategic partner of Military Hospital 175. Their partnership has flourished in personnel training, including courses for nurses, technology transfer, scientific study, building of a nursing home, with military medical cooperation as a highlight.

The certificate presentation was significant, marking the fine development between Military Hospital 175 and the Consulate General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City, Japan Business Association in particular, and between the two nations in general.
