Personnel of Long Khot Border Post coordinate with relevant forces to present scholarships to students from schools in Kampong Rou district, Svay Rieng province, Cambodia. |
Over the past years, the program has become a meaningful initiative, helping disadvantaged students in border areas pursue their education and aspirations. Long Khot Border Post has awarded dozens of scholarships to students in Cambodia’s border areas, with total funding of VND 120 million.
The scholarships have not only helped ease the financial burden on students’ families but also encouraged the children to stay in school and work toward their dreams.
Lieutenant Colonel Do Van Long, Political Commissar of Long Khot Border Post, emphasized that supporting disadvantaged students on both sides of the border demonstrates the border guards’ responsibility and care for local communities. It also helps strengthen solidarity and friendship between the peoples of the two countries and build a border of peace, stability, cooperation and development.
Each scholarship represents a gesture of care and encouragement, giving disadvantaged students greater motivation to continue their education.
