Implementing the 14th National Party Congress Resolution and the 12th Military Party Congress Resolution, the military will accelerate modernization. Priorities include high-quality personnel training, technological innovation, and digital transformation. The defense sector has made solid strides, mastering foundational technologies and producing advanced equipment to enhance self-reliance.

Highlighting bilateral ties, General Nguyen Tan Cuong noted that both nations elevated relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership in May 2025, celebrating 50 years of diplomatic ties in 2026. High-level engagements, including the official visit by General Secretary and State President To Lam in May 2026 and the state visit by the King and Queen of Thailand in September 2026, continue to drive bilateral momentum.
