Over the past time, based on signed documents, particularly the Joint Vision Statement on Viet Nam-India Defense Partnership toward 2030 and agreements reached by the two countries’ senior leaders, bilateral defense relations have continued to receive attention and promotion from both sides, developing in a practical and effective manner and achieving positive results.

General Phan Van Giang noted that during Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh’s visit to Viet Nam in May, the two sides agreed to further strengthen political trust and fully, effectively, and practically implement signed cooperation documents, focusing on key areas, including exchanges of delegations at all levels, particularly high-level ones; consultation and dialogue mechanisms; training and education cooperation; U.N. peacekeeping; and active consultation and mutual support at multilateral forums, especially the ADMM-Plus.
